Thank you for another Nitricon 2026!!
Like last year I had a good time vending at Nitricon. So this year I decided I would return. It was at the same location in Haderslev: Haderslevhus. Did I dress up? Yes I wore my D&D Spectre Dress from BlackMilk Clothing.
There were a few follies this weekend:
- I forgot my wire boxes so I couldn't display my hoods, hats, or bows.
- The wifi/internet was so bad that it took a while for me to register my sales and use card payments.
- The musicians were stationed right next to my table for a period of time thus blocking traffic and sales.
- I don't fault the musicians as they are guests performing for the venue.
- I don't know if the musicians are paid or if it's volunteer work.
- I paid for my tables and thus expected space for customers to flow around my table. However because of them being directly stationed in front of my tables I had attendees dancing and blocking traffic.
- Any amount of blocked aisles is a fire hazard.
- It was impossible to hear anyone speaking or attempting sales in the room when they did play music. So my neighbor did ask them to stop and relocate.
I just want to make it clear that I still had a great day at Nitricon. I do think that I will try to come back but I will write an email about the problem points above. I'm not sure if they can find a better venue but that's a problem for next year.
I had a lot of fun meeting new people and seeing all my bunnies again. It was great to see all the new cosplayers come. I was in a different room so it was a new experience for me.
Since I made a "cons" list of Nitricon. I do think it's important for me to highlight the positives.
- I had a lot of fun meeting new customers and recommending ear cuffs that will match outfits.
- Happy with how the "number game" was for me.
- Happy to see my friends and vendor friends again.
- Excited to see new cosplayers and cosplays.
- Making new friends
I'm a bit sad that I didn't get to place new products on the table but I do believe it was a clean set up. I'll apply for next year and see if I get in.
Thanks to the Nitrilion team for this year <3
